Today I started reading a book called Chinese Cinderella. I have been waiting for the library to have this book for ages.

It is about a girl who has never seen her mother even in pictures. Her father ordered all the slaves to burn them. She has to stay with her Aunt because her parents have died. I don't know why her father would burn all of the pictures of her mother. It would be bad enough that your mother was dead but to not even know what she looked like would be even worse. I hope that her grandma might be able to show her some pictures of her family.

I am starting to wonder if her mother is really dead and everyone has lied to her for some reason.
